Job summary

GDI Services (Canada) LP is seeking a part-time janitor to clean floors, washrooms, offices, and common areas, and manage trash disposal across two buildings. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, window washing on request, and restocking supplies.

Candidates must be able to work with limited supervision and pass a background check. The role requires the use of cleaning equipment, able to lift up to 50 lbs, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs, and other surfaces (inside buildings).
• Striping and waxing, steam cleaning carpets and cleaning windows on request.
• Wash windowsills; glass in interior doors, partition, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior; wash/spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily; damp wipe glass surfaces, empty waste baskets, service dispensers, dust sills, etc.
• Assist the supervisor with any other assistance that requires help from the employee.
• Monitors possible defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and reports to supervisors.
• There will be showers, they will have to go between the two buildings across the street.
• Collect building trash daily, replace liners, high dusting, wall washing, handling heavy items as needed.
