Qualifications

• Grade 12 education and graduation from a recognized Long Term Care Aide program.
• Medication Administration Certification – Assisted Living Workers Only.
• Care Aide Certificate and current first aid.
• Registered with the BC Care Aide Registry in good standing.
• All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check.

Responsibilities

• Promote resident focused care according to policies and care plans.
• Provide care respecting residents' communication and lifestyle choices.
• Observe and report resident conditions as directed by nurses.
• Participate in quality and infection control measures.
• Interact tactfully with residents, families, and team members.
