Job summary

Oxford Learning St. Catharines is seeking part-time teacher-tutors for after-school hours to support K–12 English. You will work with up to three students at a time, teaching both online and in person, following our proprietary philosophy and methods.

No prior lesson planning required; training is provided. Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or teaching certification, strong English communication skills, and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in a field related to language/education.
• Fourth year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
• Teaching certification is an asset.
• Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels.
• Teaching online and in-person.
• Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
• Filling in post-lesson notes.
• Completing daily student communication updates.
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times.
