Oxford Learning Edmonton Callingwood is looking for part‑time Teacher‑Tutor positions for the 2025‑2026 school year. The role is located in Callingwood, Edmonton, Alberta.
Position Overview
As a Teacher‑Tutor, you will work with Elementary students in reading, writing, math, French and/or High School students in math (including Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. All lessons are pre‑planned; you will receive full training in our proprietary philosophy and methods.
Position Requirements
- Availability during after‑school and evening hours (3:00 pm–8:00 pm).
- Commitment through the end of the 2025‑26 school year (June 30) with possible summer continuation.
- Must be able to commute to the in‑person location; relocation packages not available.
- Vulnerable sector screening mandatory.
- Applicants must reside in or within a short commute of the Callingwood area.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
- Third‑year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
- Working toward or holding a teaching certification is an asset.
- Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten–Grade 12 curriculum.
Experience
- Some experience teaching or tutoring at a Kindergarten–Grade 12 (or equivalent) level.
- Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide student understanding.
- Ability to teach French is highly desired.
- Ability to multitask and work with up to three students at a time.
Responsibilities
- Teach up to three students at a time in Elementary grades or up to two students at a time in Grades 10‑12.
- Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
- Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
Schedule
- Evenings.
- Monday to Friday.
- Saturday availability.
