Job summary

A Canadian educational institution in Calgary is seeking a Part-Time Educator/Tutor to work with elementary and high school students in a supportive learning environment. Position Overview

As a Teacher‑Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will have the opportunity to work with elementary students in reading, writing, math, and French or high‑school students in math (through Calculus), physics, chemistry, biology, and English. All lessons are pre‑planned, and you will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods, allowing you to focus on teaching.

Position Requirements
  • Availability (9:00 am – 8:00 pm). You do not need to be here all hours, but we need availability during those windows.
  • Commitment through to the end of the 2025‑26 school year (June 30th) with the possibility of continuing through the summer.
  • In‑person role. You must be able to commute to the Calgary location. Relocation packages are not available.
  • Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
  • Third‑year university students with tutoring experience will be considered.
  • Working toward or holding a teaching certification is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 12 curriculum.
Experience
  • Some experience teaching or tutoring at the Kindergarten‑to‑Grade 12 level.
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students’ understanding.
  • The ability to teach French is also highly desired.
  • Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time.
Responsibilities
  • Teach up to three students at a time in elementary grades or up to two students at a time in grades 10–12.
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies.
  • Complete daily student communication updates and monthly progress reports.
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times (create a fun learning environment).
