The Erb Group is seeking an experienced delivery driver to travel to locations across Ontario, Canada. You will drive safely in all weather, perform pre/post-trip inspections, load and unload freight, and communicate with dispatch to meet schedules and policy.

You must pass pre-employment checks, provide CVOR and license copies, wear PPE, and abide by hours-of-service regulations. The role supports a 24/7 operation with variable shifts and multiple daily stops.

Qualificações

• Minimum 1 year verifiable driving experience
• Must meet licensing requirements for the job opening
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and health survey
• CVOR, Driver abstract and a copy of license provided at interview
• Criminal record check required
• PPE provided by The Erb Group

• Attend Driver Safety meetings
• Operate onboard telematics and electronic log system

SUMMARY

Drive to locations to deliver and/or pick up product. Fill out all required paperwork. Represent Erb Transport professionally and give the best customer service possible.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible to drive safely in all types of road and weather conditions and temperatures.
• Responsible to deliver freight as per schedule and company policy.
• Communicate with dispatch according to department procedures regarding pickups, deliveries or inquires.
• Responsible for a required pre/post-trip inspection ensuring equipment is in safe working order.
• Communicate with shop when maintenance is required.
• Familiar with and carry out all required paperwork according to company policy.
• Familiar with and comply to all hours of service and Ministry of Transportation regulations for all jurisdictions.
• Responsible for loading and unloading of product in a safe, accurate and professional manner.
• Familiar with operations of The Erb Group and comply with company regulations.
• Responsible to attend Driver Safety meetings.
• Drivers are not assigned to dedicated units, and slip seating is required.
• Responsible for the operation of the onboard telematic device which includes the electronic log and communication system for communication with dispatch.
• All other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 1 year verifiable driving experience on specific license required.
• Meet the licensing requirements for the specific job opening.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and health survey.
• CVOR, Driver abstract and a copy of a drivers license must be provided at time of interview.
• Employment reference check will be completed.
• Drivers must be able to bend, lift and carry freight up to 80lbs.
• Criminal record check will be required.
• Required to wear PPE (provided by The Erb Group).

WORKING CONDITIONS

May vary from terminal to terminal, but primarily will be:

• The Erb Group is a 24/7 Operation, with runs departing daily.
• Departure times will vary and will be determined by H.O.S. regulations.
• On call positions, do not have set start times.
• There is no set end time on any given day and work can be up to and including the HOS regulations.
• Drivers can expect from 1 to 20 deliveries and pickups daily.
