Job summary

A community care organization in Ontario seeks a Home Helper to provide essential homemaking services for individuals and families. The Home Helper will assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and client companionship. Candidates should possess strong communication skills, relevant certifications, and 2-3 years of experience in the healthcare or support field. This is a part-time position requiring reliable transportation and the ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience working with children, seniors and persons with disabilities.
• Experience with professional cleaning services preferred.
• Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Search may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping tasks for clients.
• Prepare meals and complete environmental risk assessments.
• Provide companionship and reminders for medication and appointments.
• Engage with clients and healthcare team regarding care plans.

Education

High school graduate

Post-Secondary school education

CPR and First Aid certification

Personal Support Worker or Health Care Aide certification
