Overview

Our TorontoJobs.ca client, located in North York, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to join their team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization and may evolve into a full-time role. The successful candidate will primarily focus on assisting with month-end financial statements, bank reporting, budgeting, general ledger accounts, and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Financial Statements: Prepare and analyze month-end financial statements with a high degree of accuracy; reconcile accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data.
• Bank Reporting: Manage bank reporting processes, including reconciling bank statements and monitoring transactions. Work closely with financial institutions to address any discrepancies.
• Budgeting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in the budgeting process. Provide support in creating, maintaining, and monitoring budgets to ensure financial goals are met.
• General Ledger Accounts: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Journal Entries: Record accurate and timely journal entries. Analyze financial data to identify and rectify discrepancies.
• In-Office Work: Perform all job duties on-site in our North York office. Collaborate with team members and management to address accounting-related tasks and challenges.
