Duties Description

The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) in the Finger Lakes Region is seeking a candidate to oversee office operations related to support services at Seneca Lake State Park and Canandaigua State Boat Launch. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Assign, review, train, and evaluate the work of lower-level employees.
  2. Prepare schedules, manage seasonal payroll, and handle clerical activities related to seasonal staff.
  3. Monitor and oversee fee collection, manage money banks, and conduct audits.
  4. Control parking access during peak periods.
  5. Assist with shelter reservations and issuing permits.
  6. Respond to routine questions and handle complaints from park patrons.
  7. Explain park rules and regulations and process written information to meet patrons' needs.
  8. Assist occasionally with basic groundskeeping, including debris removal, limb picking, and loading materials.
  9. Maintain cleanliness of offices and restrooms as needed.
