We are looking to hire a Park Maintenance Worker 2 to work during the winter season from November 2025 to March 2026.This position is an integral member of the wider Camrose District Maintenance team and depending on workload and staffing needs may be required to work at various sites in this Regions, primarily at Cooking Lake Blackfoot Recreation Area near Sherwood Park and Miquelon Lake Provincial Park near Camrose.

The majority of your work time will be spent outdoors with a primary focus on grooming and maintaining trails.

Duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Maintaining trail systems using chainsaws, chippers, trimmers, hand tools and lawn mowers.
  • Operating power and hand tools to complete repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Operating equipment such as UTVs, riding lawnmowers, tractors, and winter trail grooming equipment.
  • Completing daily routine vehicle inspection and perform daily maintenance as required; report any mechanical or operational issues to the Supervisor.
  • Supporting tree removal and drainage work as needed.
  • Identifying and addressing potential public or employee safety issues while in the parks and report to the Supervisor.
  • Ensuring public and staff facilities are clean and maintained to Alberta Parks’ standards. Vault toilet cleaning, disposing of garbage and keep areas neat and clean.
