M-R. Palma is seeking a Parent’s Helper to assist in caring for two children in the family home. The role includes light housekeeping, meal preparation, and supervision during outings and appointments.

On-site position requiring a criminal record check and the ability to travel with the family. The ideal candidate will be patient, reliable, organized and able to follow the parents’ guidance on toilet training and discipline.

Qualifications

• Education: Secondary school graduation certificate required.
• Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in childcare or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Change diapers.
• Follow parents’ lead with toilet training.
• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Shop for food and household supplies.
• Travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
• Wash, iron and press clothing and household linens.

We are looking for one Parent’s Helper to assist in the care of two children. You will be assuming full responsibility for the household in the absence of the parents, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, following the parents’ lead with toilet training, shop for food and household supplies, travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties, wash, iron and press clothing and household linens, bathe, dress and feed infants and children, discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents, instruct the children in personal hygiene and social development, keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home, organize activities such as games and outings for the children to promote growth, prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals, prepare children for resting periods, supervise and care for children, take the children to and from school and to appointments, tend to the emotional well-being of the children, help children with homework.

19.08 to 20.00 hourly – 40 hours per week
