Job summary

parOLes College Brampton is seeking a Part-Time Paralegal Instructor to deliver quality instruction in the Paralegal program at our Brampton campus. The role emphasizes inclusive teaching, varied instructional methods, and student-centered learning.

The position requires a licensed paralegal or lawyer, at least 3 years of legal experience, and prior teaching experience. It offers morning classes, $35/hr, and an immediate start with an end date of February 2027.

Qualifications

• Licensed Paralegal or Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Minimum 3 years of related practical experience.
• Experience with small claims court, contract law and/or employment law.
• Proficiency in a variety of legal software programs, including Clio.
• Prior teaching experience is required.
• Professionalism with intermediate MS Office skills and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality classroom instruction using diverse teaching methods to accommodate learning styles.
• Facilitate hands-on training and practical exercises for student skill development.
• Design and administer assessments to evaluate student performance with constructive feedback.
• Encourage active student participation and mentor students.
• Stay current with industry trends and complete workshops to improve teaching skills.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and records in compliance with college policies.
• Communicate student progress to relevant campus leadership.
