Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced painter to perform internal and external painting across building fabrics, ensuring surfaces are prepared correctly and maintained to high standards. The role requires IPAF certification for working at height and the ability to manage time effectively while working independently.

You will collaborate with maintenance teams, keep records of work and materials, and follow health, safety and COSHH policies.

Qualifications

• Time-served painter with proven experience in industrial or commercial environments.
• IPAF certification – essential for working at height.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Painting & Decorating (desirable).
• Knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing methods.
• Experience working in occupied properties and managing customer expectations.
• Familiarity with COSHH and safe handling of materials.

About The Role

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as required.
• Operate access equipment safely and efficiently (IPAF certification required).
• Conduct routine inspections and touch-ups to maintain site standards.
• Work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams to minimize disruption.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
• Adhere to site hygiene, safety, and environmental policies.
