Job summary

Universal Painting is seeking an on-site painter to prepare, paint and finish interior and exterior surfaces. The role requires attention to detail, physical capability and the ability to work with wallpaper and wall coverings.

The position is permanent full-time with 30 hours per week at CAD 29.00 per hour. Experience ranges from 1 year to less than 2 years; English required. Start date as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years of painting experience.
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• English language required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
• Repair cracks and holes
• Mix paint to desired colour and texture
• Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
• Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings
• Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
• Estimate costs and materials
