Highlights Painting in Surrey, BC is seeking a self-motivated Painter with good interpersonal skills to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position with immediate start.

The successful candidate will advise on colour schemes, prepare surfaces, apply paints and finishes, work at heights, and ensure safety and quality standards on residential projects.

Responsabilidades

• Advise customers on colour schemes and wall covering options.
• Fill cracks and holes using putty and plaster.
• Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted.
• Erect scaffolding and swing stages; attach rigging.
• Measure, mix, and apply paints, varnishes, and sealants.
• Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabrics to walls.
• Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations.
• Calculate materials and time needed for projects.
• Communicate with clients to ensure desired look.
• Protect furnishings and materials during painting jobs.
• Maintain painting equipment and ensure quality products.
• Complete projects on time and within budget.
• Work in fast-paced environments; handle repetitive tasks.

• The candidate will be expected to advise customers on colour schemes and wall covering options.
• The candidate will be expected to fill cracks and holes using fillers such as putty and plaster.
• The candidate must prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted.
• The candidate will be required to erect scaffolding and swing stages as well as attach rigging.
• The candidate will be expected to mix and apply paints, varnishes, and sealants to ensure a long-lasting finish.
• The candidate must measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls.
• The candidate will be required to apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
• The candidate will be in charge of adhering to workplace safety regulations.
• The candidate will be in charge of calculating the amount of materials and time needed for the project.
• The candidate will be in charge of communicating with clients to ensure they get the desired look.
• The candidate will be responsible for protecting all nearby furnishings and building materials before and during every painting job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures and landscaping
• The candidate will be responsible for practising self-supervision on small jobs and ensuring that each project is completed in an efficient and timely manner.
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining painting equipment to ensure proper performance, as well as collaborating with other units to ensure the use of quality products and on-time delivery.
• The candidate will be responsible for adhering to high-quality standards in order to reduce defects and exceed company standards while maintaining an acceptable material cost.
• The candidate will be in charge of blending paints and other materials to achieve the desired colour or texture, as well as painting surfaces with various tools and following instructions.
