Overview

A skilled painter is required for interior and exterior painting projects, including wallpaper installation, surface preparation, and finishing. Work includes traveling to various job sites, often outdoors and at heights.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted
  • Repair cracks and holes
  • Measure, cut, and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
  • Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in painting or related field
  • Language proficiency: English required; Russian or Ukrainian preferred
  • Valid driver’s licence with own vehicle; willing to travel on the road
  • Tools: Must bring own tools, steel-toed safety boots, and uniform
  • Physical: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel; handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs); attention to detail; color discrimination
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
Work Conditions
  • Work site environment: Outdoors, at heights, exposure to odors
  • Work setting: Various locations (frequent travel)
