Job summary

Westridge Painting & Coating Ltd. in Calgary, Alberta is seeking a painting helper to support exterior and interior projects at multiple sites.

You will prepare, sand and clean surfaces, mix paints and help apply finishes under supervision to achieve quality results. The position requires 1 to less than 7 months of painting experience, a secondary school diploma, and the ability to work outdoors, at heights and at various locations.

Qualifications

• 1 to less than 7 months painting experience
• High school graduation certificate or equivalent
• Ability to distinguish colours and perform precise work

Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted (≤140 chars)
• Repair cracks and holes
• Mix paint to desired colour and texture
• Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
• Advise consumers on colours and wall coverings
• Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
• Estimate costs and materials
