Job summary

Empire Envelope Ltd. in Calgary, AB is seeking a Paint Service Technician to join our team.

You will perform interior paint related service work during new home construction, both prior to and after possession, while maintaining safety and high quality standards. You will coordinate with internal teams, builders, and trades, tracking hours and scope of work, taking photos and notes, and ensuring site cleanliness and proper vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in residential painting.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience in insulation, drywall, taping, and/or general construction.
  • Strong organizational habits with experience in personnel management.
  • Great communication skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Class 5 driver's licence with clean abstract.
  • Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform interior paint related service work during new home construction, both prior to and after possession, where applicable. Work may also include insulation, drywall, and texture repair work.
  • Maintaining site cleanliness during work.
  • Upholding and protecting the high-quality standards of Empire Envelope Ltd. and ensuring that all work performed meets or exceeds these standards.
  • Working with all team members and divisions, as needed.
  • Representing Empire Envelope when dealing with builders, homeowners, and trades.
  • Tracking hours and scope of work completed at every job and then communicating via service schedule for tracking and billing. Taking pictures, notes, description of work completed etc.
  • Providing feedback to direct manager regarding work, trades, painting quality, trade damage, site conditions, builder issues, etc.
  • Maintaining weekly vehicle inspections, general vehicle cleanliness, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Ensuring hazard assessments are filled out and proper PPE is worn. Reporting any safety concerns to direct manager and / or safety department.

Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Paint Service Technician to join Empire Envelope, in Calgary, AB. You will perform interior paint related service work during new home construction, both prior to and after possession, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism. You also track work progress, maintain site and vehicle cleanliness, and collaborate with internal teams, builders, and trades to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to company standards.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Performing interior paint related service work during new home construction, both prior to and after possession, where applicable. Work may also include insulation, drywall, and texture repair work.
  • Maintaining site cleanliness during work.

Essential Requirements

Working Conditions

You work primarily on-site with some time spent in an office environment during regular business hours. Occasional overtime may be required.
