A leading engineering firm in the Region of Waterloo is seeking a candidate to perform digital engineering studies and support robotic painting processes. Responsibilities include participating in DE studies and implementing quality robotic processes. The role involves travel primarily across North America and occasional international trips. The ideal candidate should be flexible with schedule and work hours, adapting to project needs.
The primary responsibility of this role is to participate in and perform DE (Digital Engineering) studies, commissioning, teaching, quality adjustment of all paint robotic processes (Sealer, UBC, LASD, Primer, Topcoat and Plastics).
Reporting to the Paint SEIBI Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint SEIBI Group’s objective to plan, implement and achieve high quality, robust robot processes in the paint shop.
Work schedule: Standard working hours from Monday - Friday; occasional weekends depending on project needs. Work hours may fluctuate depending on project needs during the week.
Travel: 25% for hands-on work; candidate will be required to travel to North American NAMCs (including US and Mexico) and potentially international travel to Japan (although unlikely for newly hired CW). CW will be expected to travel between both TMMC plants (Cambridge and Woodstock) on a quite frequent basis.
Overtime: 12.5%
