Fraser Health Authority is recruiting Casual Registered Nurses for Surgical Services - Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC. The PACU team provides direct nursing care to patients recovering from anaesthesia, under BC regulations.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborating with physicians, licensed practical nurses and educators to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
• Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with BCCNM.
• One year of recent clinical nursing experience in the designated clinical area or equivalent education/experience.

Aufgaben

• Assess post anaesthetic patients and plan/perform nursing interventions.
• Provide care per physician orders and hospital standards; adjust as needed.
• Communicate with interprofessional care team and document care.
• Coordinate and prioritize nursing care; delegate tasks per protocols.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic environment and respond to emergencies.
• Mentor new staff and participate in quality improvement.
