Job summary

FedEx Group in Ottawa is seeking a Seasonal Part Time Package Handler Trainer to support loading, unloading, palletizing and scanning operations.

You will train other package handlers, ensure safe movement of freight, and comply with FedEx Canada procedures and driving requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Must possess a valid G license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight within the facility.
• Train other Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques.
• Transport freight within and between facilities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• - High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred)
• - Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• - FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations - (Preferred)
• - Good interpersonal skills
• - Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
• - Must possess a valid G license & have a good driving record
