Job summary

FedEx in Delta, BC is seeking a Package Handler to load, unload, scan and sort freight in our facility. You will also transport items between locations and help train fellow handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques to keep operations safe and efficient.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED (preferred), up to 6 months of package handling experience, familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and customs, and the ability to lift 70 lbs and handle up to 150 lbs with

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Six months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Valid G license with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility.
• Transport freight within and between facilities.
• Train other Package Handlers on loading, unloading, palletizing and scanning techniques to ensure safe movement of packages.

Job description

To load and unload freight, scan, and sort freight within the facility. To transport freight within and between facilities.

Trains other Package Handlers (PHs) on loading, unloading, palletizing, and scanning techniques in order to ensure efficient and safe movement of packages through the operation.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (Preferred)
• Six (6) months of experience as a Package Handler preferred.
• FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations - (Preferred)
• Good interpersonal skills
• Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs & maneuver any package weighing up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment
