Job summary

Stubbe's Precast seeks a Structural Engineer (Building Systems) for its Harley, ON office with hybrid work options. You will join engineers, EITs, BIM Modellers and PMs delivering Total Precast projects across residential, industrial, and commercial sectors, collaborating with architects and other engineers.

Day-to-day duties include independent structural analysis, design of Total Precast structures, coordinating with partners, preparing specifications and reports, and mentoring junior staff

Qualifications

• Licensed P.Eng in Ontario.
• Minimum 4 years of structural engineering experience.
• Proficient with precast/building systems is preferred.
• Proficient in English, written and spoken.
• Knowledge of NBC, OBC, CSA S16, CSA A23.3.
• Experience with BIM tools such as AutoCAD, Revit or Tekla.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform structural analysis and design of Total Precast structures.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project managers on feasibility, timelines and costs.
• Prepare technical specifications and calculation reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and clients to ensure successful project execution.
• Conduct site visits and structural assessments to evaluate conditions and provide recommendations.
• Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians; stay updated on codes and best practices.
