Job summary

Recycling Rewards is seeking independent contractors to provide donation collection services across assigned areas. You will operate your own vehicle, collect clothing, textiles, and household goods from donation bins and residences, and deliver to Recycling Rewards facilities, while meeting service standards as an independent contractor.

You determine how to perform services, maintain logs, and manage business obligations, including insurance, registrations, and taxes.

Qualifications

• Own or lease a cargo van and provide ownership proof.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle.
• Maintain vehicle insurance and registrations.
• Register a legal business (CRA) and HST where required by law.
• Strong time-management and route-planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Collect donated clothing and household goods from bins, residential pickups, and designated sites.
• Operate your own vehicle to complete collection services within service windows.
• Ensure safety and proper handling of materials; report issues as needed.
• Maintain service logs and invoices in a timely, accurate manner.
