Job summary

Meijer is looking for a Stocking Clerk to keep shelves stocked and ready for customers. You’ll move products from pallets to shelves, pull backstock, and maintain a clean, safe store environment.

This role includes overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead. The ideal candidate values teamwork, accuracy, and friendly customer service in a hands-on, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Able to follow processes and stay organized.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move product from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations efficiently and accurately.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in designated back-room areas.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure assigned areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

This position is responsible for taking stock from either an l-cart or pallet and, with using the correct location codes provided on the box, put the stock in the correct location on the shelf and repeat this process until the assigned area is finished.
