Job summary

The Home Depot Canada is seeking a Department Supervisor to lead department teams and drive exceptional customer service. You will monitor staffing, coach associates, and ensure safety standards while coordinating with store management and operations to meet business needs.

This role emphasizes hands-on leadership, training, and performance development to support growth and achievement of results. A competitive benefits package and rewards are provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervision or lead-team experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to coach and develop associates and provide ongoing feedback.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts (days/evenings/weekends).

Responsibilities

• Ensure department staffing levels meet business needs.
• Manage associate performance through development, communication, rewards and recognition.
• Ensure Safety and Asset Protection standards are followed.
• Review inbound shipment logs and enter data into the store system.
• Process shipping paperwork (Bills of Lading, Invoices).
• Operate licensed powered lift equipment to load trailers and assemble orders.
• Teach shrink-reduction practices.
• Unload merchandise and verify quantity and quality.

Pay Range: $23.35 - $25.60

What You Will Be Doing

• Ensuring department staffing levels meet business needs
• Managing associate performance through development, communication, rewards and recognition, and providing ongoing feedback
• Ensuring that all Safety and Asset Protection standards and protocols are clearly communicated and followed
• Review the inbound shipment log to plan for receiving /pack out needs and enter information about incoming merchandise into the stores’ computer system
• Process and prepare paperwork for shipping products including Bills of Lading, Shipping Invoices and Freight Cost
• Licensed to use Powered lift equipment (electrical pallet jack, slip sheet machine, reach truck, order picker and fork lif) to load trailers and assemble orders
• Teach and train how to reduce shrink
• Unload merchandise and check quantity and quality: RGR (Rough Good Receipt) and DGR (Detail Good Receipt)

• Ability to work a flexible schedule; including days, evenings and weekends
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent decision making ability and problem solving skills
• 1-2 years experience as a supervisor / leading teams
