Job summary

Walmart Canada in Steinbach, MB is seeking a Store Associate to support merchandise flow and customer service on the shop floor. You will unload trailers, pull pallets, stock shelves, label displays and help ensure a safe, clean environment for opening and daily operations.

You will work as part of a team to plan duties based on workload and store needs, with a starting hourly wage of 16.15 CAD. Prior retail experience is a plus, and Walmart Canada supports equal opportunity hiring and growth

Responsibilities

• Prepare the sales floor for store opening.
• Setting, merchandising and signing features.
• Completing live unloading of other types of merchandise.
• The main differentiator between this role and day/evening fulfillment is there is a stronger emphasis on labelling and placing merchandise in the backroom bins/stocking.
• Pulling pallets of merchandise to and from the sales floor for overnight processing.
• Assisting in stocking the sales floor as assigned and providing customer service if necessary.
• Label the sales floor for store opening.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
