Job summary

Walmart Canada is hiring a General Merchandise Associate in Toronto to deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining and stocking general merchandise areas. You will greet customers, promote products, locate items and help with purchases, ensuring a safe and tidy store environment.

The role covers assigned salesfloor areas, performs merchandising tasks, and supports front-end coverage as needed. Minimum age 16 and a willingness to learn.

• Provides excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assists customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues and referring concerns where appropriate.
• Covers an assigned area(s) on the salesfloor.
• Zones assigned area.
• Moves feature merchandise to its modular home.
• Works recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store.
• Assists with Front End coverage.
• Communicates with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained.
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
• Stocks merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable . Applies product protection when required. Sets and completes modulars, including flex modulars and sets new shelf caps.
