Venor is proud to partner with Greenergy Fuels Canada Inc. in their search for an Overland Logistics and Supply Chain Manager to join their team in Saint John, NB.

As a leader in Operations & Logistics, the successful candidate will be instrumental in setting the strategy for the company’s overland network and will be accountable for end-to-end outcomes across a North American footprint.

What you’ll be doing
  • Oversee day-to-day rail and truck operations, driving safety, compliance, and on-time performance.
  • Set terminal inventory targets and align with S&OP to prevent stockouts and manage exceptions.
  • Determine railcar fleet size and mix, while minimizing out-of-service time and maximizing utilization.
  • Lead contract and rate negotiations with railways, lessors, and trucking partners.
  • Coach and develop a team of supply chain planners, setting goals and performance standards.
  • Sponsor digital visibility and automation to improve on-time performance and reduce demurrage/detention.
  • Prepare contingencies and lead incident responses for weather, labor actions, and supply disruptions.
What we are looking for
  • 8-10+ years of experience in oil & gas or heavy-industrial logistics with direct rail and trucking responsibility.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • A self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work with minimum direction.
  • Proven ability to build internal and external networks.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in an individual or team setting.
  • A drive to learn more about the business and industry.
  • Deep knowledge of tariffs, rate structures, and demurrage.
  • A track record of managing multi-terminal inventories and daily liftings.
  • Leadership experience managing a planning/scheduling team.
