Overview

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will focus primarily on new business development while managing a book of existing accounts within the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions such as Burlington and Hamilton. This role requires a hunter mentality and building relationships with manufacturers, distributors, and food packaging clients.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $75,000–$90,000 plus uncapped commission
  • First Year OTE: $120,000–$130,000
  • Commission: Uncapped, residual; % of gross profit, paid monthly

They operate a 200,000 sq. ft. facility in the GTA, offering packaging distribution, foam fabrication, digital printing, die cutting, co-packing, and fulfillment services. The company fosters a people-first, growth-oriented culture with long-tenured employees (10–30 years) and strong vendor relationships.

Office Location & Sales Territory
  • Head Office: Brampton, Ontario
  • Work Model: In-field hybrid (not work-from-home). Expect 3–4 days/week in-office. Reps spend ~50–60% of time with clients. When not in the field, they are expected in the office for quoting, samples, and team work. Administrative tasks may be done from home.
  • Sales Territory: Primarily GTA (no fixed geography)
Experience, Background & Education
  • 5+ years of sales experience (outside sales preferred)
  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging, or distribution industries
  • Background in food manufacturing or food distribution sales is an asset
  • Experience with industrial or office supplies sales also will be considered
  • Proven success in new business development and account management

  • Corrugated packaging, foam, labels, thermoforming, flexible food packaging films, equipment, jan-san supplies, and chemicals

Leads
  • 100% prospecting/creating own list – reps are expected to build their own pipeline
  • There are some warm leads from corporate (website inquiries, shared across reps)
  • The sales model is heavily weighted to cold calling initially when building a client base, knocking on doors, and field prospecting
  • New hires will inherit some accounts but are expected to focus on driving new business growth
