Job description

As an Outside Sales, you will drive new business development and manage consultative, long-cycle capital equipment sales across Ontario. This is an outside sales role—focused on prospecting, client visits, product demonstrations, and closing deals. You will be home-based with frequent travel across your territory. This position offers a base salary of $110,000 CAD plus uncapped commissions, a company vehicle, and full health benefits.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Base Salary: $110,000
  • On-Target Earnings (Year 1): $160,000–$200,000+ (uncapped commission)

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY
  • Head Office, Chilliwack, British Columbia
  • Regional Office: Woodstock, ON
  • This is an Outside Sales role involving approximately 80% travel. The territory covers Ottawa, Sudbury, Timmins.
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of B2B heavy or industrial capital equipment sales experience with a proven hunter mentality and strong track record in new business development.

THE PRODUCT / SERVICE / SOLUTION
  • Capital equipment sales and rentals, including: Crushers, screeners, and conveyors, wood grinders, shredders, and material handling solutions.
  • Exclusive Ontario product lines: CBI, Sandvik, and Husqvarna.
  • Supported by a large in‑stock parts inventory and industry‑leading after‑sales service.
PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION-MAKER(S)
  • Industries: Aggregate producers, contract crushing companies, concrete & asphalt recyclers, biomass processors, and landfills.
  • Decision-Makers: Owners, general managers, purchasing managers, and site supervisors.
SALES CYCLE / ORDER VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE
  • Sales Cycle: 3–12 months, consultative and value‑based.
  • Typical Order Value: $500,000–$1,500,000 per equipment sale.
  • Accounts: Mid‑market industrial clients, typically $10M–$100M revenue and 20–100 employees.
  • Year 1 Focus: ~75% new business development and ~25% account management.
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES

    • 1 week at the BC head office for systems and sales playbook training.
    • Field shadowing with experienced sales reps.
    • Territory travel and joint client visits until fully ramped.
  • Ongoing mentorship, product training, and sales coaching provided.
