Job summary

A leading company in material handling is seeking an Outside Parts & Service Representative in Saskatoon. This role is an outside sales position focused on promoting and selling material handling parts along with providing after-sales support. Candidates should be adept at developing customer relationships and be capable of performing regular sales activities. Responsibilities include customer visits, maintaining sales records, and collaborating with management to achieve sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Assist Parts & Service departments to increase profitability.
  • Prospect and cold call new accounts for promotions.
  • Implement yearly territory plan to maximize sales.
  • Visit customers at least once a month in Area of Responsibility.
  • Keep customers updated on new products and services.
  • Develop 2 new prospective customers monthly.
  • Follow-up on unit and machine performance.
  • Maintain database records related to each customer.
  • Work with management to meet budget goals.
  • Gather competitive product and pricing information.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities.
  • Communicate customer concerns to the management team.
  • Maintain cleanliness and inventory of the company vehicle.
Job description

Brandt is currently seeking an Outside Parts & Service Representative for our Saskatoon Material Handling.

This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting and selling Material Handling parts and service, as well as providing after sales support to new and existing customers.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers with the goal of increasing sales and customer satisfaction
  • Assist the Parts & Service departments to increase profitability and performance
  • Regularly prospect and cold call new accounts to discuss new promotions and programs
  • Implement yearly territory plan including a customer target list to maximize sales potential
  • Visit customers in Area of Responsibility (AOR); a minimum of 1 visit per month
  • Keep customers current on new products and services
  • Develop prospective customers with a goal of 2 per month
  • Follow-up with customers on unit and machine performance
  • Maintain and utilize the database records related to each customer including sales meetings, opportunities, quotes, notes, and any other documentation as required
  • Work cooperatively with management to meet and maximize budget goals and expand customer base by presenting and implementing new marketing strategies
  • Gather competitive product and pricing information and supply to management
  • Participate in all required training and development opportunities
  • Follow up on customer concerns and communicate effectively to the appropriate Management Team
  • Maintain cleanliness, scheduled maintenance, and inventory for the company vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned
