Note: This is a full‑time position at the Addiction Recovery Office in Sudbury, ON. Directly reporting to the Director of Centre Operations; pay rate as agreed, based on experience, expertise, and applicable education.

COMPANY INTRODUCTION

Teen Challenge is a 12‑month, faith‑based, in‑residence drug and alcohol rehabilitation program, for adults 18 and older. We currently have 8 centres located in Alberta, Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Ontario that are able to serve up to 197 people who are struggling with substance addiction. We demonstrate God’s love by helping individuals become free from substance addiction and equipping them to live full and meaningful lives.

JOB POSITION DESCRIPTION

Our team is looking for a full‑time Outreach Support Worker. The primary responsibility of the Outreach Support Worker is to build relationships with persons who are struggling with addiction, who may be also marginalized and homeless, and/or are in need of support and resources. The work centre is the Teen Challenge Community Office, which is an inner city presence in the addictions community. The incumbent will work with clients by providing access to community resources to help them address addictions issues and related harms. This will include providing access to the Teen Challenge Canada program through the online application process, and providing spiritual and social support. Responsibilities include fostering a safe, caring, supportive, nurturing, and healthy environment, and advocating for clients to address their issues related to addiction.
