Come work as a Psychiatrist with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)! The Mood Disorders Centre (MDC) is an internationally recognized integrated clinical and research outpatient facility within the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health (located at the University of BC campus) that provides world-class, patient focused care for people with mood disorders and their families. It offers excellence in clinical care based on the best available evidence and treatment tailored to each person’s individual needs.
The MDC also serves as a resource to secondary and tertiary care across BC by providing specialized assessments and recommendations in people with treatment-resistant and refractory mood disorders. The clinical program integrates biological treatments (pharmacotherapy, neurostimulation, light therapy, exercise) with psychotherapeutic and psychosocial interventions, and models innovative programs such as digital health and measurement-based care approaches.
