Qualifikationen

• Completion of a Diploma in Registered Practical Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Member in good standing with the College of Nurses in Ontario.
• Criminal Reference Check (recent and acceptable).
• Phlebotomy and ECG training are an asset.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Experience in addiction treatment or similar field.
• Knowledge of Harm Reduction principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
• Ability to establish therapeutic relationships with patients.

Aufgaben

• Operate professionally and ethically within Ontario College of Nurses guidelines.
• Administer medications (including methadone, suboxone, narcotics, and injections) as delegated by a licensed Physician.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate treatment plans.
• Perform ECGs, venipuncture, urine drug screening and other vitals.
• Document injections and ensure proper medication tracking.
• Maintain accuracy of patient information within EMR.
• Communicate patient needs and emergencies with Physicians.
• Provide program information to current and prospective patients of CATC.
• Schedule, information entry and data management.
