Job summary

Sysco Canada Inc. is seeking a Night Shift Warehouse Supervisor to lead the selection function and ensure accurate orders and on-time departures in a fast-paced distribution environment.

You will coach and support warehouse staff, monitor productivity, and manage timecards and scheduling, while upholding safety and inventory controls. A high school diploma and related logistics experience are required, with preferred supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in Logistics/Warehouse role.
• Preferred 5 years in Logistics/Warehouse role.
• Preferred warehouse supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics and/or Operations preferred.
• Knowledge of systems SWMS, Workday, CANVAS, Intelex, labour standard system
• Basic proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel

Responsibilities

• Support warehouse team members with technology systems (RF scanners, printers, tablets).
• Coach and train colleagues to meet productivity goals (Engineered Labour Standards).
• Ensure safety compliance per company programs and regulations.
• Conduct warehouse inspections, coach cards, observations, and audits.
• Distribute, analyze and work with team on incentive programs.
• Monitor and improve overall productivity.
• Manage selection, replenishment, and loading of products.
• Generate and analyze productivity reports.
• Record indirect time in SWMS.
• Assist Warehouse Manager in annual budget prep and weekly monitoring.
• Develop and implement cost reduction actions.
• Ensure accuracy of timecards, approvals and scheduling of direct reports.
• Understand and interpret CBA and union procedures where applicable.
• Comply with Sysco Food Safety Policy and procedures.
• Drive EHS performance and foster an inclusive culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This role is responsible for managing all activities on the night shift with the primary responsibility of managing the selection function utilizing engineered labour standards and ensuring accuracy of all orders picked and on-time departures.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support warehouse team members with technology systems (Motorola RF scanners, Zebra printers, tablets and CANVAS)
• Provide ongoing coaching, training and encouragement to all colleagues and support in meeting productivity goals (Engineered Labour Standards)
• Ensure safety compliance in accordance with all company safety programs and industry regulations/legislation.
• Complete daily proactive safety measures warehouse inspections, coach cards, observations and facility audits
• Distribute, analyze and work with team members on incentive program
• Monitor and improve overall productivity
• Support and comply with all company policies and procedures
• Manage all aspects of selection, replenishment, assembly of products and loading in a timely manner
• Generate/analyze productivity reports
• Manage/Identify barriers that cause indirect time
• Record indirect (work delays) in SWMS (warehouse management system)
• Assist Warehouse Manager in preparation of annual warehouse budget and monitor budget on a weekly basis
• Develop and implement cost reduction action plans
• Accountable for the accuracy of timecards, approvals and scheduling of direct reports
• If applicable, understand and interpret the CBA, participate in grievance, mediation, arbitration procedures at unionized facilities
• Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:

Shift Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, 10:00PM to 6:30am
