Who we’re looking for: Operations Support Systems (OSS) is the department dedicated to applications that enable our technology teams to actively plan, deploy & operate our networks. As an automation development specialist in OSS, you will design and develop solutions to streamline our processes and drive innovative designs on key technology components.

Location: We are open to hire for our Calgary or Greater Toronto Area location.

Responsibilities
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment in a small, agile team where you will collaborate with teams across the company to tackle complex technical challenges.
  • You will be listening to the customer to identify issues and build requirements.
  • You will be creating solutions to automate network management platforms while experimenting with cutting edge technologies.
Qualifications
  • You are a strong communicator who can break down complex, technological explanations to layman’s terms.
  • You are ready to collaborate with the team to find an innovative solution to every problem you come across.
  • You are an awesome team player who has respect for everyone’s ideas.
  • You can commit to multiple projects at once with changing priorities and see it through to completion.
  • Degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent experience
  • Deep knowledge of system architecture, database management, and integration technologies
  • Understanding cloud-native applications using microservices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Understanding core Kubernetes concepts such as pods, deployments, and services
  • Familiarity with OpenShift\'s architecture, web console, CLI (OC), and its management of containers, networking, storage, and security
  • Ability to understand business processes and requirements.
