Job summary

A healthcare provider in Ontario is seeking a Personal Support Worker to assist with patient care and perform various duties such as monitoring equipment and transporting patients. Candidates should have Grade 12 education, CPR certification, and two years of related experience. The position is part-time with a pay range of $30.10 to $30.64 per hour, requiring shifts during days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Accountabilities
  • Assists with the care of patients under the direction of the resource nurse
  • Maintains monitors and distributes departmental equipment
  • Transports patients, specimens, and supplies as required
  • The role works on a rotating shift schedule
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Graduate of a personal support worker / health care aide program from an accredited institution (or an equivalent program would be considered)
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Minimum two years recent related patient care experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
  • Requires the ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting on an ongoing basis
  • Experience in emergency an asset
  • Must demonstrate Osler\'s Values of Respect Excellence Service Compassion Innovation and Collaboration
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
  • May be required to work and travel between all Osler sites
Additional Information

Currently Days / Nights 8 / 12 hour shifts including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

SALARY

Minimum: $30.10 per hour

Maximum: $30.64 per hour
