Job summary

Grainger Canada is hiring warehouse associates across multiple shifts with full-time positions available. You will report to a DC Supervisor or Process Manager and collaborate with team members to safely complete duties and meet performance goals.

The posting notes hourly pay starting at $24.65/hour with a possible $1.50/hour shift premium where applicable and a target incentive of $1,200, contingent on performance. Final compensation may vary by location and experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of work experience in a fast-paced and physically active job.
• Experience with industrial machines, like order picker, forklift, pallet jack, etc.
• Ability to speak and understand written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately complete warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, sorting, labeling, putaway, replenishing, auditing, picking and packing products using industrial machines.
• Operate wrist-worn or hand-held scanning equipment to accurately fulfill customer orders for shipping.
• Resolve exceptions in order fulfillment due to stock discrepancies, order processing errors, damaged products, carrier changes, etc.
• Follow lock out and tag out procedures for powered industrial equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and hazardous material requirements.
• Work collaboratively and assist other teams to meet safety, quality, productivity, behaviour, attendance, and overtime requirements.
• Perform other tasks as directed by leadership, including all functions of a DCA II.

Compensation

This position is hourly, and the starting pay rate is $24.65/hour with eligibility for a afternoon shift premium of $1.50/hr where applicable (DC roles only), and eligibility for an incentive target of $$1,200.00, which is contingent upon achieving both individual and company performance objectives.

Education/Experience (You Have)

• Experience with industrial machines, like order picker, forklift, pallet jack, etc.
• Ability to speak and understand written and spoken English.
• Comfort working on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust while working on or around moving equipment and elevated stations.
• You'll need to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder heights.
• Pass a pre-employment background check.
