Job Summary
As the Order Fulfillment Supervisor you are responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer orders, coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This role involves inventory management, order tracking, optimizing fulfillment processes to enhance efficiency, and planning delivery routes to minimize delays and costs.
Key Responsibilities
Order Processing & Coordination
- Process customer orders accurately in the system and confirm order details.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely picking, packing, and shipping.
- Monitor order status and proactively address any issues or delays.
- Communicate with customers regarding order confirmations, expected delivery times, and any potential disruptions.
Inventory & Logistics Management
- Ensure sufficient stock levels to meet order requirements by coordinating with procurement and inventory teams.
- Track shipments and deliveries, resolving any logistical challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and shipments in relevant databases.
- Work with couriers, freight providers, and internal teams to streamline the delivery process.
Route Planning & Delivery Optimization
- Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize costs and delivery times.
- Optimize delivery schedules based on order priority, customer locations, and fleet availability.
- Coordinate with drivers and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of delivery plans.
- Use route planning software or tools to improve delivery accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor and adjust routes in real-time to handle unforeseen delays or traffic issues.
Customer Service & Support
- Act as a point of contact for customers regarding order‑related inquiries.
- Address customer complaints and provide timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment.
- Provide updates and reports on order fulfillment performance and customer satisfaction metrics.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in order fulfillment, logistics, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of order processing systems and inventory management.
- Experience in route planning and delivery coordination.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
