This full-time role includes managing farm staff, overseeing operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has proven experience in orchard management, strong leadership skills, and knowledge of crop management practices. This position offers minimal travel and a focus on productivity and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing orchard operations, ideally in fruit or specialty crop production.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, train and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Knowledge of crop management practices, soil health, irrigation systems, and integrated pest management.
• Experience managing seasonal and offshore labour teams; Spanish language is an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude for managing and maintaining farm equipment.
• Understanding of regulatory standards related to food safety and workplace safety.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Willingness to work extended hours during planting, harvest, and spraying seasons.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all orchard operations.
• Supervise, train, and schedule farm staff and seasonal workers.
• Monitor crop performance, soil health, and overall field conditions.
• Oversee farm equipment and infrastructure maintenance.
• Develop and implement operational strategies.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
• Collaborate with senior management on budgeting.
• Manage inventory of supplies and harvested crops.
• Support expansion projects.
