Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Ottawa is looking for an engineer to provide support to their Spectrum Strategy division. Your responsibilities will include analyzing global policy initiatives related to Space Sustainability and participating in forums to present the company's position. A PhD or Master's in Aerospace Engineering or Astrophysics is required along with proven experience in Orbital Debris Modelling and Python programming. This role offers a hybrid work model with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master's degree and 2+ years of quantitative field research experience.
• Strong background in Orbital Mechanics with experience in Orbital Debris Modelling.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze satellite space safety regulations.
• Assist in the development of technical documentation.
• Participate in national and international forums regarding sustainable use of orbit resources.
