Job description

Spaulding Ridge is an advisory and IT implementation firm. We help global organizations get financial clarity into the complex, daily sales, and operational decisions that impact profitable revenue generations, efficient operational performance, and reliable financial management.

At Spaulding Ridge, we believe all business is personal. Core to our values is our relationships with our clients, our business partners, our team, and the global community. Our employees dedicate their time to helping our clients transform their business, from strategy through implementation and business transformation.

What You Will Do and Learn

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Oracle FCCS & ARCS Solution Architect to join our team. This multi-faceted role is critical to our success, encompassing pre-sales activities, solution design leadership, and project delivery management specifically for Oracle's Financial Consolidation and Close Cloud Service (FCCS) and Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS). The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in these two applications and be able to bridge the gap between technical and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Pre-Sales Support

  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, engaging with C-level executives and financial stakeholders to understand their challenges related to financial close, consolidation, and account reconciliation.
  • Lead discovery sessions to gather business requirements and articulate how Oracle FCCS & ARCS solutions can streamline their processes, improve efficiency, and enhance financial controls.
  • Develop and present compelling, tailored solution demonstrations within the FCCS and ARCS environments, highlighting their value proposition for consolidation, intercompany eliminations, currency translations, and automated reconciliation.
  • Work closely with the sales team to qualify opportunities, contribute to RFPs/RFQs, and help define winning sales strategies.

2. Solution Design and Architecture

  • Lead and facilitate design sessions with clients to define the overall solution architecture for FCCS and ARCS implementations.
  • Translate complex business requirements, such as statutory reporting and compliance mandates, into a robust and scalable technical design, creating detailed design documents.
  • Provide expertise on leading practices in FCCS (e.g., Consolidation, Close Manager, Intercompany) and ARCS (e.g., Reconciliation Compliance and Transaction Matching) to ensure an optimal solution that adheres to accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Oversee the end-to-end architecture, including data models, integrations with ERP systems (like Oracle Cloud ERP or SAP), and financial reporting strategies using tools like Management Reporting or Smart View.

3. Project Delivery and Management

  • Serve as the lead architect throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to go-live and support.
  • Manage project scope, deliverables, and timelines, ensuring solutions are delivered on-time and within budget.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the project team, including functional and technical consultants.
  • Collaborate with client teams to manage change, ensure adoption, and provide ongoing support.
  • Act as a key liaison between the client, internal delivery teams, and Oracle product support to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in a technology and functional role, with at least 4+ years as a Solution Architect on Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or, specifically, Oracle FCCS and ARCS projects.
  • Deep functional and technical knowledge of all aspects of Oracle FCCS (e.g., Consolidations, Intercompany Eliminations, Currency Translation) and ARCS (e.g., Reconciliation Compliance, Transaction Matching).
  • Proven track record of leading full-cycle implementations and managing complex projects.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex financial and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong understanding of the financial close process including consolidations, intercompany reconciliation, and account substantiation.
  • Experience with data integration strategies and tools within the Oracle EPM ecosystem, such as Data Management or Data Integration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
