Job summary

FYidoctors in Kitchener-Waterloo, ON is seeking an Optometrist to join our well-established clinic with a loyal patient base and knowledgeable team. This role is suitable for a new graduate or an Optometrist looking to establish themselves long term.

The clinic provides support across all areas, with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment and specialty services such as pediatric eye exams, emergency eye care, and ocular disease co-management. Regular schedule includes Tue and Thu clinic hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive eye examinations and patient care as an Optometrist.
• Participate in ocular disease co-management as needed.
• Perform pediatric eye exams and emergency eye care as required based on patient needs.

Schedule

• Tuesday:9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Thursday:11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Equipment

Our clinic is equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, including:

• Refractometer
• Pachymeter
• FDT
• Humphrey Visual Field
• OCT
• Tonometer
• Topographer

We also provide a number of specialty services, including:

• Pediatric eye exams
• Emergency eye care services
• Ocular disease co-management

Location

Kitchener is situated in the Grand River Valley, approximately 95 km west-southwest of Toronto. The city has a rich German heritage and is known for its abundant green spaces, with nearly 220 parks, including golf courses, nature preserves, and urban parks.

Kitchener offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors throughout the year. Winter activities include the Christmas Fantasy light display in Victoria Park, outdoor skating, and tobogganing.
