FYidoctors Sechelt - Sunshine Coast clinic is hiring an Optical Associate for a one-year fixed-term role, 20-29 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will greet patients, help with eyewear choices, and assist with prescriptions under an optometrist’s guidance.

You will handle frame adjustments, appointments, billing, and contact lens orders while delivering excellent patient care in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Previous optical experience or retail experience is an asset.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for connecting with patients and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist.

• Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts.
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and third parties.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required.

In this role, you’ll enhance the lives of our patients every single day, delivering exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a dynamic, rewarding, and collaborative environment.

This position is a one-year fixed-term role, working 20-29 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday.

What You’ll Do
