Overview

Ledcor Highways Ltd. (LHL) is offering road maintenance opportunities across Northern BC with year-round employment and contracts lasting up to three years. We are seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals to help keep the Alaska highway safe. If you hold a Class 1 or Class 3 license and want to work for a company that values safety, community, and career growth, we want to hear from you!

Locations

• Prophet River
• Steamboat
• Liard River

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
• Maintain Alaska Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
• Work outside in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset

Work Conditions

• Some shift work, on-call, and night shift may be required
• Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC union
• Camp provided in remote locations
• Preference given to local applicants

Compensation

• Base rate of $28.99 to $35.55 per hour
• Wage range determined by trade certification/apprenticeship level, industry experience, and work location
• Remote/site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including travel and accommodation allowances
