Job summary

Air Liquide Canada is hiring a full-time Filling Plant Operator in Fort McMurray, AB to fill, inspect, and move industrial and medical gas cylinders while adhering to safety and TDG regulations.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, physically fit, and capable of operating material handling equipment including forklifts. Flexible with shifts and committed to quality and improvements in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–2 years experience in the industrial sector.
• Ability to qualify for medical filling processes and GMP standards when applicable.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Physically fit, strong work ethic, quick learner, and ability to lift/roll cylinders.
• Must be flexible with working hours (afternoon and/or evening shifts required).
• Knowledge of compressed gases and prior forklift experience are strong assets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare empty cylinders for filling.
• Fill and handle high-pressure cylinders while following safety requirements.
• Take ownership of quality and safety control.
• Participate in administration and ongoing process improvements.
• Prepare, inspect, set up, monitor, and operate filling equipment.
• Communicate with maintenance regarding cylinder issues.
• Comply with all safety rules and SOPs.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and housekeeping.
• Maintain and improve efficiency through teamwork.
• Produce quality products within the required timeframe.
• Perform quality tests for fill weights, labeling and coding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare empty cylinders for filling.
• Fill and handle high-pressure cylinders while following Air Liquide's safety requirements.

• Ship cylinders in accordance with TDG regulations.
• Assemble pallets and load/unload trucks.
