Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking an interview-position Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All Culture and oversee day-to-day sort operations and Cargo Handler staff at the station. You will lead, mentor, and coach employees to ensure compliant operations, routing accuracy, and quick recovery from service issues.

The role requires a college degree, 2+ years in FedEx sort or supervisory capacity, valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy packages.

Qualifications

• College degree required.
• 2 years FedEx sort operations or senior level hourly role experience or 2 years supervisory experience in related industry.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with equipment.
• Ability to complete all basic and recurrency training (including DG certification).
• Mentor, coach, and act as a knowledge resource to others.
• Inspire a shared vision and empower and motivate a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide employees in proper package handling, routing, and recovery of service failures.
• Oversee all Cargo Handler functions and daily work activities.
• Mentor, coach, and train staff to ensure FXE policy and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate scheduling, workload balance, and delegation of tasks.
• Support continuous improvement and safe operations within the station sort function.

Job description

This is an interview position plus CEV. This is a frontline supervisor position that supports the FedEx Express (FXE) Safety Above All Culture and manages specific day-to-day sort operations and assigned Cargo Handlers (CH) staff within a station. Responsible to lead and guide employees in proper package handling, routing and recovery of potential service failures within the station sort function. The Operations Supervisor has oversight for all CH functions, including the direction of work activities, employee mentoring/coaching/training ensuring administrative processes are compliant with FXE policies and procedures and government regulations

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• College degree

Posting: 10/06/2026 – 10/13/2026 at 3PM local EST. Part-time shift of Mon,Tue,Thur and Fri at 1:30PM and Sat at 9:30AM. Shift hours- 6hrs and a 30min unpaid break, scheduled for 6.5hrs a day.
