Job summary

Richardson International is seeking an Operations Supervisor at our Lethbridge, AB site. You will oversee daily oilseed processing operations, including unionized staff, ensuring safety, productivity, and adherence to company policies.

Lead teams, drive continuous improvement, and manage time & attendance in accordance with the collective agreement. This role requires strong coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or 4–5 years supervisory experience in manufacturing
  • Experience implementing policy & procedures
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Excellent written, verbal, documentation, and computer skills
  • Capable of conducting conflict resolution and disciplinary meetings
  • Proficient in coaching and mentoring team members
  • Strong time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations within the Oilseed Processing area, including the direct oversight of unionized employees.
  • Achieve the department's goals and objectives, ensuring compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety, and Company regulations.
  • Implement operational procedures effectively to ensure the daily production schedule is executed safely, with minimal non-conformance and business interruptions.
  • Provide effective leadership to department teams and contribute positively to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Administer the time and attendance payroll system in compliance with Company Policy and the Collective Agreement.
  • Participate in team meetings, workshops, and the development of departmental goals and objectives.
  • Be part of the "on-call" rotation for after-hours support.
