Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an Operations Planner for the Business Aircraft unit in Dorval, QC. You will develop short and medium-term capacity plans, communicate production schedules, monitor adherence, and coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, and Logistics to optimize the Master Production Schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Logistics, 2–5 years in production planning, and strong analytical, communication, and computer skills (MS

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in production planning.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Knowledge of SAP APO and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop short and medium-term capacity plans, including workforce and facility space requirements.
• Communicate production plans and any changes impacting assigned sectors.
• Monitor and measure adherence to production plans through cycle performance and backlog tracking.
• Develop, maintain, and align the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
• Prepare and evaluate planning scenarios to support manufacturing strategies by providing: Workforce impact assessments, Facility space impact assessments, Risk analysis for each scenario, Recommendations on the preferred scenario.
• Act as the primary link between production planners, the Master Production Plan, and manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Supply Chain and Internal Logistics, Methods, Industrial Engineering, and Quality.
• Operate effectively within a unionized manufacturing environment; Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and strategic operational projects.

How to thrive in this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Logistics, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in production planning.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in a structured and methodical manner with limited supervision.
• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, a results-oriented mindset, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
